Bomb Threats Rock Punjab: Schools and Government Buildings Targeted After Blast Outside BJP Headquarters

Chandigarh, Dt. 6: Just five days after the blast outside the BJP headquarters in the Punjab capital Chandigarh, several schools and government buildings in Chandigarh and Jalandhar received bomb threats today. The entire administration and police machinery swung into action as soon as this threatening email was received. Security agencies carried out an intensive search operation, especially after it was reported that a grenade attack would be carried out at Gandhi Bhawan in Panjab University, Chandigarh, at night. This threatening message contains incitements to make Punjab a Khalistan. The email reads, Save your children, Punjab will now be a Khalistan. The threat warned the DGP to use the address of the Khalistan National Army to blast schools at the appointed time. It also talks about stopping the national anthem and starting secessionist slogans. The most serious thing in this email is that apart from the direct bomb threat from Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, it is also written in the email of CM Kejriwal or Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana, Gaurav Singh Yadav.
