New Delhi, તા.13: Amid a war-like situation in the Strait of Hormuz, the world's busiest sea route, and the resulting spike in petrol-diesel prices in the global market, India is today at the centre of world politics. The 18th BRICS Foreign Ministers'Meeting is being held at the iconic Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on 14th and 15th May. The meeting, to be chaired by External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, is not just a diplomatic visit but a major platform to find solutions to the global energy crisis caused by tensions between Iran and the United States. The first day of the two-day summit will see in-depth discussions on regional security and economic challenges among member countries. In the afternoon, delegates from all countries will meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Sewa Tirth, where India can present its roadmap for peace in West Asia. The presence of delegates from Iran and the UAE, in particular, makes this meeting highly sensitive and strategic. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will also be personally present at this meeting.
