The Calcutta High Court has ordered limited transactions from three bank accounts of the Trinamool Congress. Also, a special officer has been appointed to monitor these transactions. Significantly, this right of transaction in the bank accounts has been given to the Mamata faction of the Trinamool Congress. This is being considered a big victory for Mamata Banerjee, who is fighting the battle to capture the TMC. This decision of the court will give former CM Mamata Banerjee the right to spend crores of rupees in the TMC account under the supervision of the court. A single bench of Justice Saugata Bhattacharya of the Calcutta High Court has appointed retired Justice Subrata Talukdar as a special officer. Justice Subrata Talukdar will authorize the expenditure only on the basis of a cheque signed by two office bearers of the Trinamool Congress as per the order of the court. On Thursday, the Calcutta High Court said that this interim measure will be effective till September 30. According to the Calcutta High Court, the TMC will be able to spend money from this account to meet the expenses incurred in running the party. According to the High Court and the Calcutta High Court, the special bank officers will not allow the accounts to be used for free transactions.
