Chandigarh Student Wins Gold Medal in Hammer Throw at KVS National Sports Meet

Harshdeep Singh, a Class X student of Kendriya Vidyalaya High Grounds, Chandigarh, has brought laurels to the school and Chandigarh at the national level through his talent and hard work. Harshdeep won the Gold Medal in Hammer Throw U-19 in the 55th KVS National Sports Meet-2026. The National Sports Meet by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) was held at KVS Ernakulam Region, Kerala. Talented players from different parts of the country participated in the competition. Harshdeep Singh became a part of the competition from Chandigarh. Harshdeep's achievement is also special because his father Jagjit Singh is employed as a security staff at GMCH-32 Hospital through a private agency. Despite the limited financial circumstances and resources of the family, Harshdeep has made his mark at the national level through his dedication and hard work towards sports. Expressing happiness over his son's success, father Jagjit Singh said that this achievement of Harshdeep is a matter of pride for the entire family. He also expressed happiness that along with hard work, Harshdeep can become the Principal of the High School.
