In Uttar Pradesh politics, Azad Samaj Party president Chandrashekhar Azad is poised to become the kingmaker in 2027 with the help of the Dalit-Muslim equation. Chandrashekhar Azad became very popular among Muslim youth during the CAA-NRC movements and Jama Masjid protests. In 2024, he also became an MP from Nagina, but before 2027, his equation seems to be disintegrating. Western UP's strong Muslim leader and former MP Amir Alam and his former MLA son Nawazish Alam have recently left the Azad Samaj Party.
