Chhattisgarh Braces for Thunderstorm and Rain as Monsoon Advances

According to meteorologists, thunderstorm, lightning and light to moderate rain are expected in different parts of the state for the next three days. Conditions are said to be favourable for the further advance of the southwest monsoon into other parts of Chhattisgarh in the next four to five days. According to the Meteorological Department, an active monsoon trough from Punjab to Bihar and a system from Vidarbha to south India is affecting the weather in the state. Due to this, thunderstorm and lightning are expected in many areas. The capital Raipur is expected to experience partly cloudy weather, thunderstorm and lightning on Friday. The maximum temperature of the city is expected to be around 39 ° C and the minimum temperature around 27 ° C. Rainfall was recorded in several districts of the state during the last 24 hours. Keshkal and Chhindgarh received 3cm each, while Kanker, Gandai, Jagdalpur, Badaipura, Rajgaon-Makonda, Kuadi-Kuadi recorded 2cm each.
