Clash Between Activists and Workers at Gandhi Shanti Pratishthan; Police Detain 180

CJP co-convener Ashutosh Ranka had come to attend the event. It is reported that during the event, some activists of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha scaled the wall of Gandhi Shanti Pratishthan and entered the campus. They then reached the venue, where they got into an argument with the workers present. Soon the dispute turned into a clash. When the situation deteriorated, the police present on the spot intervened and separated the two sides. The ad police have detained around 180 activists, including ABVP Jodhpur department convener Lalit Dadheech and BJYM state spokesperson Rajveer Banta. Police are questioning everyone and gathering information about the whole incident. However, the proposed program of Ashutosh Ranka's interaction with students at Shastri Circle Garden and then with the media was not allowed by the police. In view of the disputed situation at Gandhi Shanti Pratishthan, additional police force was deployed at the venue.
