Congress Activates Campaign Ahead of 2027 Punjab Assembly Elections

Ahead of the 2027 assembly elections in Punjab, the Congress has stepped up political activities to prepare an election pitch. To give impetus to the party's'Vote Bachao, Desh Bachao'campaign on issues related to electoral rolls and voting rights, leaders from Haryana are now being fielded. Former Haryana Congress state presidents Ashok Tanwar and Uday Bhan have been assigned the responsibility of the campaign in Punjab. Senior Punjab Congress leader and MLA Rana Gurjit Singh has also been included in the team formed by the All India Congress Committee (AICC). The Congress strategy is to activate party workers and supporters in different assembly constituencies through this campaign. For the next one month, these leaders will conduct awareness campaigns in the designated election circles. Congress general secretary KC Venugopal has issued a list of responsibilities for the campaign.
