Raising the issue of Bansagar group water supply scheme in Maihar district, the Congress leaders said that the project, which was started in 2018, has a budget of about Rs 1,200 crore. The target was to supply water to about 980 panchayats. According to Nayak, the company claims to supply water to about 100 villages, while complaints allege that water reaches only 30 to 40 villages. The Congress has demanded that the government make public the village-wise status. The party says that only work progress or billing data cannot determine the success of the scheme. It also has to say how many household connections are operational and which villages are getting water regularly. The Congress also raised questions about a project worth about Rs 2,000 crore related to L & T in Adsatna district. The leaders asked what action was taken under contractual provisions on the company concerned if the work was delayed beyond the stipulated deadline of March 2025. The delay, the penalty and the actual progress of the construction of the villages demanded to repair up to three panchayats.
