A major meeting of the Congress high command has been held on Friday (July 31, 2026) regarding the expansion of the cabinet in the government led by Chief Minister DK Shivakumar in Karnataka. This important meeting was held at the residence of Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge. Apart from Kharge, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, General Secretary of the organization KC Venugopal, General Secretary in charge Randeep Surjewala were also present in the meeting. In the meeting, Congress is trying to bring new energy to the Karnataka government by including new faces and balancing the caste equations in the state.
