Congress Leader Amarmani Tripathi Returns Home After Jail Term, Welcomes Party Officials

Amarmani Tripathi, who came out of jail after serving a jail term in the murder of Purvanchal Bahubali leader and poetess Madhumita, had arrived at Gorakhpur airport to receive senior Congress leaders, where his presence among the people surprised everyone. Just a few days ago, he had announced to contest the assembly elections, after which the discussion had intensified whether he would join a party or try his hand as an independent. Amarmani Tripathi had recently announced to contest from two assembly seats of Maharajganj himself and to field his son Amanmani Tripathi on the second seat. Now he was seen welcoming Congress leaders at the airport. It is believed that Amarmani Tripathi has found his place and he can return home to the Congress after years. On Tuesday, Congress national secretary and Purvanchal region in-charge Abhishek Dutt, national spokesperson Supriya Shrinate, along with a large number of Congress workers came to welcome him in Gorakhpur.
