Congress Leader Harish Rawat Condemns Akhilesh Yadav's Statement on Uttarakhand

There is no end to the political slugfest over Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav's reported statement on Uttarakhand. While the BJP continues to attack the people of Uttarakhand as infiltrators, there has now been a sharp reaction from the Congress party. Senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister Harish Rawat has also called Akhilesh's statement unfortunate. Congress leader Harish Rawat said that he should not have made such a statement. Criticizing Akhilesh Yadav's statement, he said that the part of his state which has made his karmabhoomi is a part of that state and he also has the same rights as a citizen of another state. Harish Rawat said - "Akhilesh Yadav's statement is very unfortunate and not at all desirable. The area which he chose his workplace at the time of partition, the part of the state which belongs to Uttar Pradesh or Uttarakhand, is the citizen of that state and has the same rights as the rights of any other citizen."
