Congress Leader Sukhdeo Bhagat Visits Chhattisgarh to Review Organisational Activities and Campaign Strategy

During his visit, he will hold meetings with the state in-charge, state president Deepak Baij and other senior leaders. He will review the ongoing organisational activities in the state and decide the strategy for the party's upcoming campaigns. He will also attend introductory meetings with the office bearers of various morchas and cells. The state in-charge will also take feedback on the state of the Congress organisation at the district and block levels. The main objective of these meetings will be to establish better coordination among the leaders and workers after the organisational changes and to speed up the preparations for the upcoming elections. During these meetings, the subject of the merger of Chhattisgarh Janata Congress (J) with Congress may also be discussed. Renu Jogi and Amit Jogi have given a proposal to merge their party and return to Congress. Though the Congress disciplinary committee has not taken a final decision on the matter yet, the issue is likely to be discussed in the meetings with the new in-charge. Sukhdeo Bhagat, a former MP from Lohardaga, was appointed as the new Congress in-charge in Chhattisgarh in September.
