Congress MLA's U-Turn: Defending Decision Not to Vote in Rajya Sabha Elections

Congress MLA Manoj Biswas: Rebel Congress MLA Manoj Biswas, who did not vote after the defeat of opposition Grand Alliance candidate Amrendradhari Singh alias AD Singh, contesting only one seat in the Rajya Sabha elections for 5 seats from Bihar, is openly defending his decision. Manoj Biswas is claiming that state Congress president Manoj Ram told him that MLAs can take independent decisions. Manoj Biswas is now saying that he did not vote because he did not like the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate AD Singh. He said that he was in Patna but had switched off his mobile and sat down because he had decided not to vote for AD Singh. But on March 12, four days before the election, Manoj Biswas said the exact opposite and said that AD Singh is a good candidate. Manoj Biswas has also shared a video of his March 12 interview on his Facebook page.
