Congress Performance in Himachal Pradesh Elections Sparks Concern

Rohit Thakur said that after meeting the leaders in Delhi, he had returned to Himachal to attend the cabinet meeting. The Advertising Education Minister openly expressed concern over the Congress's below-expectation performance in the Shimla Zila Parishad elections. He admitted that the election results have not been up to the party's expectations and need a serious review. Rohit Thakur said that Shimla has long been considered a Congress stronghold. It is not normal for the party to lose here, but it is a serious sign for both the organization and the leadership. He said that not only Shimla, but also at the state level, the results of the panchayat elections have not been in favour of the Congress. This has caused political damage to the party. The entire matter will also be discussed with the state Congress president and efforts will be made to understand why the results have not been as expected.
