Congress Releases Manifesto Ahead of West Bengal Assembly Elections, Criticizes Ruling Parties

On the occasion of the release of the party's manifesto in Kolkata on Tuesday ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in the state, the century-old'hand'camp said about the Trinamool Congress and the BJP, they are the epitome of the same coin. At the release of the manifesto, the national Congress president, MP Mallikarjun Kharge, central leader and MP Jairam Ramesh, the party's president in the state Subhankar Sarkar, former MP and senior party leader Pradip Bhattacharya and other leaders were present. Giving examples of various development works during the Congress rule in the state and on the issue of development, Ramesh said, "The BJP and the Trinamool Congress are the epitome and epitome of the same coin." Like the party's symbol, the five fingers of the hand, five special promises have been made by the Congress in the manifesto today. Apart from providing 2000 rupees a month for the development of women, free education up to the post-graduate level and free public transport. The manifesto also names the former West Bengal Chief Minister Durga Takara, in addition to the promise to honour this promise.
