The Congress on Saturday released a second list of 23 candidates for the Assam Assembly elections, which includes the names of several senior leaders of the state unit, including former MP Abdul Khaliq. The party decided to leave 15 seats for allies. On March 3, the first list of 42 candidates, which included the name of state president Gaurav Gogoi, was also announced.
