Congress Working Committee Meeting Sparks Controversy Over Rahul Gandhi's Leadership

A meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) was held in Delhi on Wednesday (August 19, 2026). Members of the CWC from Assam, permanent invitees, special invitees and four of our Chief Ministers attended the meeting. More than 88 people were present in the meeting. Meanwhile, a response has come from Nitish Kumar's party JDU today (August 20, 2026). JDU leader Rajiv Ranjan said on a comment of Rahul Gandhi in the CWC meeting, "Rahul Gandhi has been a victim of constant misunderstandings. Where has he led the Congress? This country has been ruled by the Congress for 6 decades. Under Rahul Gandhi's leadership, the century mark has not been crossed even in the third consecutive attempt. Congress has never been a victim of such disorientation..."
