CPI(M) Protests Against State Intelligence Report in Siliguri

In the name of SIR, a sit-in was held on Monday by CPI (M) Darjeeling district committee in Siliguri Hasmich. Saman Pathak presided over the meeting. CPI (M) Siliguri state committee senior leader Jibesh Sarkar, CPI (M) Darjeeling district secretary Saman Pathak, Siliguri assembly constituency candidate Sharadindu Chakraborty, Dabgram-Phulbari assembly constituency CPI (M) candidate Dilip Singh, Udayan Dasgupta and Tania Dey. The leaders said that people were being harassed in the name of SIR. The central government was conspiring to disenfranchise genuine voters in the name of SIR. The Election Commission was acting as a puppet of the BJP. The SIR was responsible for the electoral performance of the state government from the beginning to the end. The chief minister did not play the role of a democratic campaign to protect the democratic rights of the people.
