CPI(M) Protests Shootout Incident in East Patuli, Warns Police to Act According to Law

CPI (M) on way to protest against the shootout incident at Patuli on Wednesday night. One person died. Another person was seriously injured. Some people were drinking on the terrace of a house in the East Patuli area last night. Some people came there and opened fire. Four rounds were fired. The dead person is said to be a Trinamool worker. CPI (M) candidate from Jadavpur assembly constituency Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya, CPI (M) leader Sujan Chakraborty and local CPI (M) leaders went to the spot today. They spoke to the panicked people in the area. He assured them to stand by them. He warned the police, "Either act according to the law or else be ready to lose your job. We will act according to the law." Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya said, "This is happening not because of Patuli. There is no security for the people. They are killing the Trinamool for Katmani. How will they provide security to the people?" Mamata Baranda said. The incident of Patuli police station is increasing once again.
