The Delhi Assembly Secretariat's letter reads that as per the Speaker's direction, the proceedings of the Privileges Committee are confidential. As per rules, its live telecast is not allowed. The letter further states that there is no precedent of the Privileges Committee meeting being telecast in Parliament or other states. The letter was made public on Friday. The Speaker further states that he has expressed surprise at your ignorance in the matter, while you have been a former member of this House for more than 10 years. During that time, several meetings of the Privileges Committee were held, but a meeting / live telecast of the proceedings of the Privileges Committee was never done.
