New Delhi: On the occasion of Independence Day week, Delhi BJP started Tiranga Yatra campaign from Sunday under the leadership of State President Harsh Malhotra. BJP MPs, MLAs, Ministers, office bearers and workers participated in the yatras organized in different districts of the capital. In New Delhi district, Tiranga Yatra started from Pilanji village under the leadership of MP Bansuri Swaraj, which ended at Greater Kailash M Block Market. It was attended by a large number of workers including District President Ravindra Chaudhary, MLAs Neeraj Basoya, Shikha Rai and Anil Sharma. Bansuri Swaraj said that Tiranga is not just a cloth but a symbol of respect to the martyrs and unity of the countrymen. She appealed to the people to hoist the tricolor at their homes and take a pledge of patriotism by 15th August. In West Delhi, BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh and MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat led the Yatra from Dholi Piau to Tilak Nagar police station. Thousands of workers including Ministers of Delhi Government Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Ashish Sood, MLA Shyam Gangwal and Kailash Sharma participated in it.
