Delhi High Court Dismisses Telegram's Appeal Against Temporary Ban

The Delhi High Court has dismissed the petition of the app against the temporary ban on the Telegram app. The Delhi High Court has challenged the central government's decision to impose a temporary ban on the Telegram app platform until June 22 before the NEET UG re-examination. The High Court has rejected it on Friday (June 19, 2026). The single bench of Justice Tejas Karia has given this decision. The court has dismissed the petition. The government's decision can not be called inconsistent. Last month, the NEET UG exam was held on May 3, but later the paper leak case came to light. There was also an uproar across the country. The National Testing Agency (NTA) and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also faced public anger. After this, the government canceled the May 3 exam. Now there will be a re-examination on June 22, the government is taking every precaution so that no such incident happens again. Due to this, the government has also given a temporary ban on the Telegram app from the General Court till June 22.
