Delhi Voter List Reveals 33% of Registered Voters Missing

According to the draft list released by the CEO's office on Monday, there were about 14.5 million registered voters in Delhi before the revision. Of these, 47,56,722 names have not been included in the draft list. This is about 33 per cent of the total voters. These names have been kept in absentee, permanently transferred, dead, double entry and other categories. Among the minority-dominated seats, Okhla is followed by Chandni Chowk with 38 per cent, Ballimaran with 32 per cent, Mustafabad with 28 per cent, Babarpur with 26 per cent, Matia Mahal with 24 per cent and Seelampur with 23 per cent. Of the 3,62,813 in Okhla, 1,63,829 names are not in the draft list. In Chandni Chowk, 48,405, Mustafabad with 80,804, Babarpur with 55,264, Ballimaran with 49,640, Seelampur with 45,105 and Nagar Matia Mahal with 32,099 names are excluded from the draft list. The figure is also 42 per cent in the city assembly constituencies.
