Delhi's Air Quality Deteriorates to 'Very Poor' Levels as Winter Sets In

The air condition in Delhi has started deteriorating with the onset of winter. Pollution in the capital of the country has once again reached severe levels. Today at 7 am on November 5, the average air quality index (AQI) of Delhi was recorded at 371. It falls in the'very poor'category. But the pollution level is not the same in all areas of Delhi. The air has become even more toxic in some areas. Jahangirpuri and Punjabi Bagh are among the most polluted areas. According to the data of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), at 7 am on November 5, the AQI of Jahangirpuri was recorded at 444. It was the first among the most polluted areas of Delhi. The level of PM2.5 particles in the air was the most affecting. While the AQI of Punjabi Bagh was recorded at 437. It was also the main cause of PM2.5 pollution. The air quality of these two areas was much worse than the average level of Delhi.
