Delhi's Mayor Launches Aerobin to Promote Wet Waste Disposal and Composting

New Delhi: Mayor Pravesh Wahi launched Aerobin at Shree Apartment Housing Society, Sector-15, Rohini on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that Aerobin based on scientific technology will promote wet waste disposal at source and will play an important role in making Delhi clean and green. The Mayor informed that with the help of Aerobin, 10 kg of wet waste at a time in a bin can be converted into compost manure in about 40 days with the help of bio-culture. It also does not smell during this process, due to which it can be easily used in housing societies and residential complexes. He said that this will enable segregation and disposal of waste at source and will help reduce the amount of waste going to landfill sites. Advertisement Pravesh Wahi appealed to housing societies and resident welfare associations to install Aerobins in their premises.
