On the eve of Gudi Padwa, lakhs of devotees attended and paid obeisance at the Samadhi of Sadguru Machhindranath at Machhindranath Fort Ashti, located in the Garbhgiri range near Savargaon in Ashti taluka. Devotees from all over the country, including Maharashtra, thronged the Samadhi of Machhindranath, one of the Navnaths. Long queues of devotees were seen since early morning to see the Samadhi, which is open for darshan only once a year. Parking of vehicles was arranged about 10 kilometers away from the temple premises. Heavy flow of two-wheelers and four-wheelers continued throughout the day. Under the guidance of Mangesh Salve, PI, Ambhora Police Station. Disciplined planning allowed the devotees to have a peaceful and smooth darshan without any untoward incident. Meanwhile, MLA Suresh Dhas's planning made it easier for the devotees to have a darshan at the samadhi.
