Drain Construction Dispute Sparks Scuffle Between Political Rivals in Uttar Pradesh

In Hamirpur district of Uttar Pradesh, former Samajwadi Party nagar panchayat president Maya Valmiki and current BJP nagar panchayat president Asharani Kabir came face to face over a drain construction dispute. The video of the ruckus between the two sides and the scuffle on the road went viral on social media. The whole matter is from Kurara town under the Kurara police station area of the district, where the dispute between former Samajwadi Party nagar panchayat president Maya Valmiki and the current Bharatiya Janata Party nagar panchayat president Asharani Kabir over the drain construction dispute. The dispute escalated so much that the matter reached a scuffle. The people present at the spot during the incident made a video of it which is now becoming increasingly viral on social media. Since this row over the drain construction, various discussions have intensified in the political corridors. The matter now seems to be taking a completely political color. Complaints and official actions from both sides regarding the incident are yet to be clarified by the local people at the Kurara police station.
