Election Commission Addresses Voting Pattern Discrepancies and Unverified Voters

There is growing disquiet over the logical discrepancies in the voting pattern. About 61 lakh voters are yet to be verified, the Election Commission said on Friday. Election Observer Subrata Gupta said the names of 21 lakh voters have been finalised. Supplementary lists are likely to be published by next Friday-Saturday. He also said a tribunal will be set up soon. State Election Officer Manoj Agarwal and Election Observer Subrata Gupta held a meeting with top officials of the state administration in the Calcutta High Court on the SIR issue. New Chief Secretary Dushyant Nariwala, Home Secretary Sanghamitra Ghosh, Police Commissioner Ajay Kumar Nanda and DG Siddhinath Gupta attended the meeting.
