After the completion of the third phase of SIR, the entire country except Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh will come under its purview. That is, except these three places, SIR will be completed in the rest of India. According to the Election Commission, the schedule of SIR in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh will be decided later, taking into account the weather conditions in snow-bound areas. According to the Election Commission, in the third phase, SIR will be done in Odisha, Mizoram, Sikkim, Manipur, Daman-Diu, Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Telangana, Punjab, Meghalaya, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Delhi, Nagaland, Tripura. During the third phase of SIR, more than 1.44 lakh booth-level officers from ID-2 crore households were contacted in these two states.
