On Monday, a source in the Commission said, "The press note dated September 26 is available on the website of the Election Commission. It has never been removed." Meanwhile, the Supreme Court issued a notice challenging the manner in which the Election Commission's powers are exercised and whether Kumar can exercise the power vested in the Chief Election Commissioner or the Chief Election Commissioner.
