Elections are underway in five states. There is a flood of promises. Some promise ten points, some fifty points. There is a competition on who will give how much money to the accounts of women, to the accounts of the youth. All promises are illusory, unrealistic, impossible. The common man is confused. But the real words are not uttered by anyone except the Left. Everyone is talking about abolishing money. Everyone wants to buy votes by promising to give money. Just as beggars cannot end beggary in society, people cannot be relieved of their poverty or deprivation by giving them some money every month. In times of emergency, say beggars, say donations, say allowances. But this is not the success or achievement of any government. Rather it is an example of failure. People will learn to read, acquire qualifications and skills, become self-sufficient, become financially self-sufficient, get jobs, become professionals, do business, etc.
