Fadnavis and Thackeray's Unlikely Encounter Sparks Speculation in Maharashtra Politics

There was a sudden flurry of activity in Maharashtra politics when two arch-rivals were seen travelling together in the same flight. The two leaders were on board a flight from Mumbai to Nagpur. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has reacted to the news of CM Devendra Fadnavis and Uddhav Thackeray travelling in the same plane. In fact, when Shinde was asked about Fadnavis and Uddhav travelling in the same plane, he said that Chief Minister Fadnavis is so intelligent that he knows very well how dangerous a cunning and scheming friend can be. Eknath Shinde pointed to the 2019 elections when the BJP and the then undivided Shiv Sena contested the Maharashtra Assembly elections together, but later parted ways after Thackeray formed the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government with Congress and NCP. When asked about Thackeray travelling in the same plane with his political rival, the Shiv Sena (UBT) chief said that the outcome of the high-level discussions between the two Thackeray's will be known in the days to come.
