Former MP Tarun Mondal Left Out of Voters' List in South 24 Parganas

Tarun Mondal of SUC won from Jaynagar in South 24 Parganas in 2009. The former MP, a doctor by profession, was left out of the voters'list. Tarun hails from the South Howrah assembly constituency. His name was on booth number 279 of that assembly. But Tarun's name was on the'deleted'list. His wife Mahua's name was also under consideration. But Mahua was counted as a valid voter in the list released on Friday. But the former MP's name was left out. Tarun submitted a memorandum to the state's chief electoral officer Manoj Agarwal on Saturday. He said, "I have given my word to the CEO. I have a government job, I have a pension, I have been an MP. I have given a dozen documents. But he said what the tribunal will do now. He seems to be silent." Tarun said that after giving the memorandum to the CEO, the current Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and MP Droupadi Murmu were also sending letters with a dozen documents. "If I meet the state's Chief Electoral Officer Manoj Agarwal, then what is my plan to release the list of people.
