From Rejection to Success: Saumith Chintala's Journey in Pursuing Higher Education

The way today's job market is changing, people feel that job rejections kill opportunities. But Saumith Chintala's story has given people a different perspective. Saumith, who grew up in Hyderabad, didn't even have a computer as a child. He first saw a computer at a neighbor's house and from there his interest grew. He studied at Hyderabad Public School and got a BTech degree from VIT Vellore in 2009. His resume didn't mention an IIT or NIT degree, but that never stopped him from aiming high. But when he applied to universities in the US for higher education, he got rejections constantly. According to Saumith Chintala, he got rejections from 27 universities before he got admission to New York University. He then got a chance to study at New York University, where he worked with renowned AI expert LeCun, who is a big name in the field of deep learning. Saumith Chintala had to study in the industry after a few attempts.
