G7 Summit 2026: PM Modi Joins Global Leaders in France for Discussions on Security, Trade, and Economy

G7 Summit 2026: The 52nd G7 summit is being held in the French city of Evian-les-Bains, where PM Modi has also joined the summit at the special invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. The leaders of the world's seven most developed economies, USA, France, Germany, Japan, UK, Italy and Canada, are brainstorming on global security, trade, economy and current international challenges here. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been invited as a special guest to this conference. PM Modi and Trump met face to face after 16 months at the G7 summit. The two leaders warmly shook hands but did not hug. There was a brief exchange of words. But, this time, the famous hug between PM Modi and President Trump did not show up, the two leaders sat next to each other during the proceedings of the summit.
