A meeting of the Gandhinagar District Planning Board was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi. Development works to be carried out in the district during the year 2026-27 were planned and approved. 371 works costing ₹9.5 crore were sanctioned for the next year. Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi directed all the officials of the district to ensure that not a single work of public interest is delayed and no technical or minor error prevents the works of public interest. He asked all the officials to cooperate in completing the development works of the district in a faster manner through coordination. The District Planning Board meeting allocated a grant of ₹721 lakh under 15% discretionary block level, ₹79 lakh under 15% special component and ₹150 lakh under the municipality level for a total of 363 development works under the education, health, road, water supply, improvement of dirty habitations, electrification, soil conservation, nutrition etc.
