On 13 April 2026, the price of 24K gold at ₹151,540 per 10 grams, reflecting a loss of ₹1,090 compared to its previous close. Meanwhile, 22K gold is at ₹138,912 per 10 grams. Similarly, 22K and 18K gold prices in India were also about 5.60% costlier compared to the price of gold in Dubai , not accounting for fees, duties, and taxes. US President Donald Trump announced a complete blockade of the crucial trade route—the Strait of Hormuz —over which oil prices spiked. The rise in crude and energy prices has reinforced expectations of tighter monetary policy by central banks globally.
