Gondal Local Body Elections See 10% Drop in Voter Turnout

(By Jitendra Acharya) Gondal, તા.27: In the Gondal local body elections, the taluk panchayat and municipality registered a 10 per cent drop from last year. 48.51% voting was recorded in the municipality and 46.31% in the taluka panchayat. 48.51% voting was recorded in the municipality elections. 48.51% voting was recorded in the municipal elections when the BJP has already won 20 out of the total 44 seats uncontested. 48.51% voting was recorded in the elections held for 24 seats. Out of the total 52826 voters, 25626 voters exercised their franchise in which 14061 men and 11025 women voted. 64.43% voting was highest in Ward No. 4 while the lowest was recorded in Ward No. 7 with 36 per cent. In the last 2021 Gondal municipal elections, voting was 58 per cent for 44 seats in a total of 11 wards. Compared to this, 10 per cent voting was recorded this time.
