The meetings of the 8th Pay Commission are going on continuously, its recommendations are being eagerly awaited. Meanwhile, recently the government has also given a clear answer. In the Monsoon Session of Parliament, the government has made it clear that by when the report of these recommendations will come and how long a decision can be taken. In fact, MP Neeraj Shekhar in the Rajya Sabha asked the government whether the 8th Pay Commission will submit its report before the stipulated time of 18 months. He also asked which employee and pensioner organizations the commission has talked to so far and which organizations are left. Responding to the minister's question, Minister of State in the Ministry of Finance Pankaj Chaudhary said that, according to the government proposal of 3 November 2025, the commission has to give its recommendations within 18 months from the date of formation. However, he did not make it clear whether the commission will give its report before the stipulated time. It was also asked in the parliament that till now the people and the organizations have been consulted by the minister about the entire process of this proposal.
