Government Gears Up to Pass Bills Amid Disrupted Monsoon Session

With the first week of the monsoon session completely washed out, the government is gearing up to pass the necessary bills. A senior minister in the government made it clear that all the bills listed for the monsoon session, including the FCRA, will be passed. However, the situation is not yet clear about a bill like delimitation. In fact, passing a bill in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on Wednesday is part of this strategy. After making false allegations against Home Minister Amit Shah, an apology was demanded from the ruling party. But after Rahul Gandhi was adamant on not apologizing, the government decided to pass the bill without an apology and also passed a bill related to paper leaks amid the noise and sloganeering of the Congress. Similarly, the Rajya Sabha also passed a bill related to Vande Mataram. The intention of the government is clear that the monsoon session will not be completely washed out due to the uproar and noise of the Congress.
