Ahmedabad: The nomination process for the local body elections in the state has begun today. The process will begin with various notifications and notices from the Election Commission, in which candidates can fill the forms till April 11. The forms will be verified on April 13 and the candidates can withdraw the forms till April 15. The electoral battle will continue for more than 10,000 seats in the state. The general elections to 15 municipal corporations, 34 district panchayats, 260 taluka panchayats, 84 municipalities and by-elections to 13 vacant seats of 11 municipalities will be held on April 26 in the state, through which the structural elections to the local bodies will be completed.
