Haryana Government Accused of Suppressing Democratic Rights, Arresting Youth Activists

At a press conference on Saturday, Rao Narendra Singh said that it is not a crime to protest by showing black flags in a democratic manner, but the BJP government instead of listening to the voice of the youth has descended on police repression. Arrests are being made at the Gurugram Civil Lines police station by registering FIRs against Congress youth activists which is a direct suppression of democratic rights. Advertiser Rao Narendra Singh alleged that the families of the arrested youth are also being harassed. He demanded that all arrested youth be immediately released, FIRs registered be withdrawn and the harassment of families be stopped. Advertiser Rao said that the Chief Minister should come forward instead of hiding behind the police and answer the problems of the youth, their employment and future through dialogue. He said that the डॉ.आंबेडकर had considered democratic consciousness and freedom of thought as paramount, but the youth who are raising peaceful voices in Haryana are being intimidated. Is this the government's respect for democracy?
