Himachal Opposition Leader Criticizes Government Over Budget Cuts to Public Interest Schemes

He questioned that when people could not get old age pension last year, how will they get it after the budget cuts this time. Jai Ram Thakur alleged that after coming to power by giving false guarantees, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu is constantly targeting the schemes of public interest. He has tried to stop the schemes like Himcare, Sahara, Shagun and Swavalamban by withholding the budget. Thakur said that various charges were imposed on the people and a government of fees was run in the name of Sukh Ki Sarkar. He said that new schemes are being announced, on which crores of rupees will be spent on advertisements, but the beneficiaries will not be able to get the full benefit.
