Himachal Pradesh Government Works on New Dredging Policy Amid Mining Concerns

The issue of dredging and mining in the Beas river and other rivers of the state figured prominently in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly on Thursday. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said in the House that the state government is working on a new dredging policy to create a separate department for mining and removing the accumulated material from the rivers.
