Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu's government has achieved another major success in protecting the interests of Himachal Pradesh. A historic decision has been taken in favor of the state in a high-level meeting chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on the much-awaited Kishau Dam Project. After the meeting, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh informed the media in Himachal Sadan that after the tough stance of the present government, now new conditions have been agreed upon, which will give Himachal Pradesh an income of more than Rs. 600 crores annually without spending any amount. This new agreement on Kishau Dam Project is being considered as a big strategic victory of Chief Minister Sukhu, which will give new wings to the development works of the state in the coming time. The meeting was also attended by officials from Uttarakhand, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, besides Himachal. He informed that the present state government had categorically refused to accept the agreement made at the time of the former Jai Ram Thakur government, as it had ignored the financial interests of the state.
