ICAR Develops Technology to Keep Cheese Fresh for 10 Days

Dairy farming is growing rapidly in the country. New people are also earning well by joining this sector. Dairy farming should not only depend on milk for good income, but there is more profit in processing milk and selling other dairy products from it. Although the self-life of processed items is less, so many times dairy farmers have to suffer. Now ICAR has developed a special technology keeping this problem in mind, so that cheese can be kept fresh for 10 days. Over the past few years, the demand for cheese in the country has seen a boom. Amid increasing demand, scientists have developed a new technology that can keep cheese fresh and safe for a long time. ICAR's National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Karnal, has developed a new technology called Antimicrobial Coagulant Formulation (AMCF).
