The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a high alert for heavy rain, hail, and thunderstorms in 11 states of the country, including the national capital Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, within the next 15 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, destructive winds of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour are expected during this period, which is expected to cause damage to life and property. According to meteorologists, the monsoon has been stuck in one place for the past two weeks, causing dry winds and severe heat in the plains. However, now a strong weather system has been formed due to moist winds coming from the Bay of Bengal and the activation of a new western disturbance. This is why the weather has suddenly turned in large parts of northern and central India. The IMD has warned that along with the rains, the thunderstorms and lightning in these states, the administration has advised the people to stay away from the houses and signboards.
