New Delhi: Amid the crisis in West Asia, India is witnessing major initiatives. Amid appeals to save petrol-diesel, not to buy gold, the government is now preparing to take further steps. The central government wants to accelerate reforms. To this end, the prime minister will hold a big meeting after returning from a five-nation tour. According to the news, PM Modi has called a cabinet meeting on May 21. PM Modi will be on a tour of the UAE, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and Italy from May 15 to May 20. The purpose of this meeting is to simplify rules and procedures for ease of doing business and ease of living for officials. This meeting has been attended by secretaries of about a dozen departments, including DPIIT (Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade), Agriculture, Commerce, Health, Environment and Forests, Labour, Road Transport and Atomic Energy.
