India Alliance Faces Dispute Over Seat Sharing in UP Assembly Elections

Sanjay Nirupam, leader of the Eknath Shinde faction, has reacted to the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections and the'India'alliance. He said, "As the assembly elections in UP draw near, there will be a new dispute within the INDIA alliance regarding alliance and seat sharing. Congress is on the verge of complete collapse there. If the Congress has to revive, it will have to move forward with the support of the Samajwadi Party." He added, "Samajwadi Party is the main opposition party in UP, so it will want to keep as many seats as possible. Congress's tendency has been to strengthen its position by pressuring its allies. In such a situation, both parties are going to start bickering. There are going to be jibes on each other."
